UoS Selection Days in Dún Laoghaire - Ireland

As you may or may not know, we have many Irish students at Southampton University.

Last Month two of us were asked by University staff to go back to Dublin and help recruit a new set of amazing #WeUoSnurses to be.

We got to speak to these students and answer any questions they may have about moving to the UK. The moving away bible can be found in one of my other posts.

Mary and I introduced out English counterparts to some of the local cuisine such as Tayto and the famous Chicken Fillet Roll. Unfortunately, we could not find a Spice Bag for them.

On our last day we spent time around Dublin as I acted as a tour guide for not only our colleagues but the young lady from the West visited the Big Smoke.

Jim refused to get a photo with Molly Malone but he was an impressive driver around Dublin City. I have to take my hat off to him. I could have sworn he was a local!

This was a great trip one that has been in the making for the last few years.

Finally #gobbytommy got his way back home to help recruit new students.

I want to say a special hello and thank you to all the amazing applicants and family members that came up to Dublin from all over Ireland.

You are all an amazing bunch. I hope we see you soon. If you look closely you will see the photo three years to the day of me. Jim even interviewed me!
